A PAKISTANI FARMER

As we know that Pakistan is an agricultural country. Our prosperity depends upon agricultural production. For this Pakistani farmers contribution is great. It is said that;

                                            “Pakistan is the land of farmers”

Farmers live in villages. About 75% of our population is living in villages. But now people are moving towards the cities.

A Pakistani farmer is respected by everyone. It is he who produces grains for

the whole country throughout the year. He is busy in digging up the fields, sowing seeds and reaping the crops. Indeed his life is very busy life.

He gets up early in the morning. Then he takes his yolk, bulls and plough-share and goes to his fields. There he ploughs the land hours together. Then he takes his breakfast. The breakfast is brought by the members of his family. His breakfast is very simple, usually consists of bread, pickle and lassie. After taking his breakfast he again gets busy in his work.

He labors very hard. But after his hard labor he gets very reasonable amount. He sells his production of food grain in the market at a low and normal price.

He lives a very simple life. His clothes are simple. He lives in mud house. His property consists of few bulls, a plough-share and a few acres of land. And he lives from hand to mouth.

It is said that;

                                     “A farmer is the very soul of a nation” 

Our government always tries to help the farmers. Sometimes government provides them free interest loans, tractors and other machinery.

Everybody knows that it is farmer who feeds the nation. On him depends the agricultural production?

Better seeds, fertilizers, manure, implements for agriculture can enable him to produce more and grow more.
