A PICNIC PARTY
We went on the picnic to the river on Friday. We took with us, in the
morning, sufficient quantities of fruit, sweets, pulao, loaves of bread and
qorma. Some of us
began to play badminton near the bank. Others played at the
cards. There were still others who played kabaddi. When we were dead tired, we
sat down to have some rest. We took our seats beside the radio-set to listen to
recorded music. Before long we jumped into the canal to have a bath. When we
came out we were feeling very hungry. So we sat down to enjoy a hearty meal. We
did full justice to everything. We took tea at 5 p.m. and returned home in the
evening.
