MY FAVOURITE GAME
Football is my favorite game. I took
a fancy to it, when I was only ten. It is neither costly nor dangerous. Its
playground is 130 yards long and 50 yards broad. It requires twenty- two
players. There are five forwards, three half-backs, two backs and a goal-keeper
on either side. The game starts with a whistle of the referee, from the middle
of the playground. He sees that the two teams play the game fairly according to
its rules. The side that scores more wins the match.
