THE AEROPLANE
The aero plane
is a wonderful invention. It marks the conquest of air by man. It is useful
both in war and peace. It is the quickest means of travelling from one place to
another. It covers in hours the distance that a railway train or a stream ship
would cover in days. It carries not only goods and passengers but also mail. It
gives man the joy of flying like a bird in the air. If the engines get out of
order, it has to land, wherever it can. But if it can’t, it crashes, and the
passengers are all burnt to death.
