A VISIT TO THE MUSEUM
Nisar
and I visited the museum yesterday. We saw wonderful specimens of pottery,
carpentry, painting and weaving. We looked with great interest at the pictures
of ancient rulers as well as their garments, coins, utensils and arms. We saw children gathered round the models of house-boats, railway engines and ships. We saw many things dug out from taxila. They gave us a glimpse of the ancient civilization of the country. We saw dead snakes, birds and beasts. They looked alive, because they have been preserved with great care. Then we returned home full of great joy.
