Kite flying is very popular pastime amongst the boys 0of almost all countries. But its charm is so great that even grown-up men fly these. It exercises the limbs and sharpens

eyesight. It is very dangerous too. A boy flying a kite on the roof of a house often forgets where he is. If he moves forward or backward, he falls down very often and sustains serious injuries. It is at its best on the day of the basant, the festival of kites. Numberless kites are seen in the sky that day. In china, people fly kites even at night. They fasten paper-lanterns to the string and the kites look like stars flying in the air.
